Introduced 1937

BACKGROUND

In 1937 Parker redesigned the Vacumatic line and introduced the new Speedline filler.

The Oversize was replaced by the Senior Maxima, the Senior by the Slender Maxima, and the third new model — destined to become the best seller — was the Major.

The Major was dimensionally identical to the later streamlined Standard Vacumatics (1939–1940) , but featured a distinctive chevron cap band.

• Blue Diamond clip (1939 onward)
