Mabie Todd

Mabie Todd "Swan" fountain pen and pencil in gold. "Fyne point" mechanical pencil believed to be circa 1920's. Been unused for many years and been in storage until recently.
Good condition. Both pen and pencil carry the inscription "WCC PLAGE". The nib is inscribed "SWAN" "2" "14CT" "MabieTodd".
There appears to be a tiny amount of oxidation at the nib end of the barrel. The fountain pen clip is also inscribed "Swan".
The cap on the end of the barrel is inscribed "SWAN" "MABIE TODD" "MADE IN ENGLAND".
There is no notable damage eg dents etc on this pen. Gold "Fyne point" mechanical pencil in similar condition but has tiny dent above the inscription on the barrel
and has some brassing is visible on the ball end of the clip. There is lead in this pencil and it works perfectly. Under the cap on the end there is an eraser.
The clip is inscribed "Swan". The cap is in inscribed "FynePoint" "MABIE TODD" "MADE IN ENGLAND"

Ca 1946. 138 mm. SOLD

201008-5: Parker 51 Aerometric in Burgundy. Non-blue diamond lustraloy cap. No dents. Body personalised (faint)
"DWJ". Body imprinted: "Made in England 1" (1951). Great deep colour! 140 mm. SOLD

201008-6: Parker "VS" (Vacumatic successor). Rather uncommon in the US, the VS is a hybrid between the "51" and
the Vacumatic. A "51" with an open nib. Black, lustraloy cap (possibly replacement but imprinted "Parker made in USA").
Medium flexible gold nib. Some scratches on the blind cap, which also has a deformation. Aluminium (aluminum) filler.
ca 1947. Otherwise no imprints. Old style clear Lucite feed. 138 mm. $35

201008-7: Parker "VS". Dito but Blue. Lustraloy cap has one small dent. GM gold nib, made in USA. Aluminium (aluminum)

201008-9: Parker Double jewel, Vacumatic "Black Reticular". This is the companion to the famed "Golden Web" Vacumatic.
Introduced and discontinued at the same time it was made for two years only in 1936-1937. This pen is often overlooked
and exceedingly rare. The body is back lit to show the pattern in the transparency. This is a first year Black reticular, 1936,
made in USA. Some brassing on the clip and cap bands and the body has spots of white-ish discolouration. Looks like a
personalising has been removed. It does not affect the stunning transparency. It is actually better than the transparency in
the similar pen that I decided to keep. It was a hard choice to make. Pen has a 1937 M gold nib, which is flexible, somewhat
of a rarity in Vacumatics. Unfortunately the nib imprint is worn and there are two 4 mm cracks protruding from the breather hole,
but the iridium is full and it doesn't affect the writing. Brass coloured lock down filler. The pen has a new diaphragm and is fully
functional, if You really want to use it as a writer. Priced with the flaws in mind, this is Your chance to get a truly rare Vacumatic
at a fair price. 127 mm. $150

201008-10: Parker Vacumatic in Brown pearl. Single jewel. Made in Canada 1952. Later non-blue diamond clip. Parker USA
M gold nib with some flex, somewhat of a rarity in Vacumatics. Plastic filler, good transparency, faint imprint. Some cap
band brassing. 130 mm. SOLD

201008-11: Parker Vacumatic in Blue pearl. Some clip and cap band brassing. Single jewel. Made in Canada 1952. Later
non-blue diamond clip. Parker USA M gold nib with some flex, somewhat of a rarity in Vacumatics. Plastic filler, good
transparency, faint imprint. 130 mm. SOLD

"Henry Ohtani". 132 mm. $15

201008-13: Perfecto, Germany. Uncommon four-colour pencil. Each button pulls down a different colour. No leads. Some
brassing, but a very nice pencil from a well renowned German pen manufacturer. 135 mm. $25

201008-14: Servall, made in USA. Great ruby red marble finish. Lever filler. Transparent section. M gold plated, iridium tipped
nib. Losing the plating. 130 mm. SOLD

201008-15: Foreign, USA. Warranted F 14 K gold nib. Chased steel, lever filler. The clip has some sort of soldring residue. I'm
not sure if it originally had this curious shape. 130 mm.

201008-16: Stella, Black, made in Germany. F Daurd feder GF nib, losing it's plating. Nice transparent visiometer ink view.
No cap band. 130 mm. $10
