Stacked Coin Bands
Decorative Cap Band Variant
INTRODUCTION
The “Stacked Coin” band is one of the more distinctive decorative
cap band variations found on Speedline Vacumatics.
The band features a repeating raised circular pattern,
resembling stacked coins around the cap.
These bands were produced in limited quantities
and are less common than standard chevron bands.
IDENTIFICATION FEATURES
- Raised circular “coin-like” engraving pattern
- Typically wider than standard chevron band
- Usually found on Top Line Speedline models
- Aluminium Speedline filler (1937–1941)
- Arrow clip (pre-1939) or Blue Diamond clip (1939 onward)
PRODUCTION PERIOD
Stacked Coin band Speedlines were primarily produced
between 1937 and 1941.
Precise dating depends on:
- Clip type
- Section colour
- Date code imprint
- Filler material (aluminium vs plastic)
