Senior Maxima
1942 — 1948
HISTORICAL TRANSITION
In 1942 Parker discontinued the wide-banded Speedline Senior Maxima
and introduced a redesigned version known today as the
Single Jewel Senior Maxima.
This model marked the end of the classic Speedline era
and the beginning of the final Vacumatic generation.
KEY DIFFERENCES FROM SPEEDLINE MAXIMA
- Only one jewel (top of cap)
- Rounded blind cap
- Plastic filler rod (not aluminium)
- Streamlined cap band (no wide 5 mm band)
- Blue Diamond clip standard
Earlier Speedline Maximas had:
- Two jewels (cap and blind cap)
- Aluminium filler rod
- Wide chevron band
DIMENSIONS
- Approx. 16 mm wide
- Approx. 139 mm long (closed)
Dimensions remained similar to the earlier Senior Maxima,
but trim and construction changed.
PRODUCTION PERIOD
Produced approximately between 1942 and 1948.
Later production moved toward post-war Parker styling,
eventually leading into the Parker 51 era.
